“The reason parents no longer lead their children in the right direction is because the parents aren’t going that way themselves” - Frank McKinney.

I completely agree with these words. Parenting is the toughest job in the world, and the most important too. In today's modern world. Parents don't have enough time for their kids to look after, cater their every sort of needs. They believe hiring a nanny would ease their load or sending them to a kindergarten would be a better idea. But they don't realise, Along with this, they also need to imbibe good values and morals to their children. They don't realise children learn by observing them and later imitating them. They learn from them. And if parents won't be on a right direction, they can't guide their children well. One of the most important thing is, maintaining a balance between professional and personal life. It is equally important to give time to your family and children. If things are bad at work, their personal lives would be negatively affected, but it is very important to keep two of them separate. The new age modern marriages aren't working out. People are not ready to understand unless life takes a toll on them. Traditional family patterns are no longer sustainable in our contemporary society. Dissolution of the family sometimes is the only solution. A good understanding of the phases of the the marriage and family development is the foundation upon which each couple and their children can build strategies for happily passing through each one, together.

I understand that, no parent is ever adequate to provide their children with enough love, care, support , wisdom etc to completely meet their needs. All parents fail. But it is important to analyze the things, where they are heading and what impact it is putting on their children and other relationships. Eg- Parents fighting constantly in house over little issues, husband's drinking habits, or mother being careless about the needs of all etc. All these behaviors leads to dysfunctional families which later puts a bad effect on their children by creating a distorted personality. Its important to think now than worrying later. We can surely learn to do it better. Each effort counts. Children observe every move you make. Therefore, it is important for parents to think about it and make changes.
