Newzealand is the most business friendly country in the world due to its openness to international trade, lack of government and business corruption and free-market economic reforms. Business culture is characterized as relaxed yet professional atmosphere. Here general business language is English. Business persons appear well-groomed and presentable. Greetings consist of a handshake and direct eye contact. Women often rise to senior corporate positions thus treated equal to men.
Pros and cons: although management follows a hierarchal approach where decisions being made by senior-level executives, ideas, input and collaboration, from all members of the organization are also highly valued. Lateness is seen as a sign of unreliability or even indifference. Many people are on leave during December and jamaury so not much business and meetings are conducted during this time.
