Here is my opinion:

This paper describes how teaching ethics in a financial accounting course was examined and changes made to hopefully have a greater impact on students.Students were surveyed at the completion of the course and the results indicate that this method of instruction had a positive effect on changing students' attitudes about ethical behaviour. To be not only good at technical accounting skills, but to be good corporate citizens is paramount to our responsibility.Hardly a day goes by without a newspaper report of unethical behaviour by someone somewhere. Many are questioning the ethical standards of business people the world over. Accounting academics are charged with the responsibility of educating accountants and managers of the future.

The accounting lecturer can have an influence by applying ethics to business situations. Students can learn what “ethics means and ethical accounting mean, and what constitutes ethical business strategy”. We can help students to translate their personal ethical values into business settings by forcing them to face a variety of ethical dilemmas.

Steps to recognise the change in behaviour:

1, Define the problem,

2. Examine current practices and make changes,

3. Monitor and evaluate the changes made,

4. Make recommendations for further improvements.

In general, nowadays major part of accounting professionals are working for tax evasion but not for tax saving. This is the current situation in the outside world. All the clients are in a mindset not to pay taxes to the government. And the main problem is as the people are corrupted they question the politicians. So, the teachers should train students with subject knowledge with high ethical standards so that they can strive and succeed.

So, the conclusion is as there are a lot of high profile examples of unethical behaviour we can change or eradicate it with learning subject knowledge with high ethical standards and earning good character among the people and changing other people mindset, All the unethical behaviour can be changed through teaching ethics right from the learning stage.

Thank you.
