It is very important to manage for various reasons. The first reason is security. If employees are given freedom to browse internet or play something on internet then knowingly or unknowingly they may release some sensitive information about the company, employees etc. Other reason is employees will spend most of their time on the social media sites. This will generate a laziness among the employees. They will be lazy when they are given some work then also they will think about the social media sites. If the company has certain policies about the uses electronic monitoring and if the company has terminated any employee because of the violation of rules then the company should document all the processes. This will work as a proof that the firing was legitimate. So the company will have as if the matter goes into court.
