It is very important to manage for various reasons. The first reason is security. If employees are given freedom to browse internet or play something on internet then knowingly or unknowingly they may release some sensitive information about the company, employees etc. Other reason is employees will spend most of their time on the social media sites. This will generate a laziness among the employees. They will be lazy when they are given some work then also they will think about the social media sites. If the company has certain policies about the uses electronic monitoring and if the company has terminated any employee because of the violation of rules then the company should document all the processes. This will work as a proof that the firing was legitimate. So the company will have as if the matter goes into court.

If we talk about the colleges then here are the lists of 10 things that colleges do to encourage ethical behavior by student or by faculty.

1. There should be a code of ethics for students as well as faculty.
2. There should be a brief about plagiarism so that the students know that what it is and its demerits.
3. There should be a survey at the end of the course where the students can give a complimentary, critic to instructors.
4. There should be channels for reporting unethical behavior.
5. Standard punishment arrangement in case of any ethical violation.
6. There should be limitations for the teachers to view the personal information of students.
7. Tracking of IP address should be there so that no outside student can login to the study material of the college.
8. The documents which are prepared by the students should not be used by the college without permission.
9. There should not be any discrimination in the college based on any factor such as race, religion, nationality, color etc.
