1. Hydraulic fracturing is also known as hydrofracturing or hydro fracking . It is a well simulation technique. It is used in groundwater hydrology in order to create crack in deep rock formation into which natural gas , brine , petroleum will flow more freely because at that depth there is insufficient reservoir pressure to allow gases to flow from rock into well bore at high economic return. In this process high pressure fluid is injected into well bore and when hydraulic pressure is removed from well then particles of fracturing fluid keep the crack open . It is also used in enhancing waste remediation, measures stresses in earth and much more.
2. Advantage of drilling mud over water as:-
i) It can perform its function under high temperature which water as a drilling mud cannot.
ii) They can clean the holes sufficiently even with low annular velocities as comparison to water as drilling fluid.
3. Well development helps in increasing performance of well water yielding and provide safe water quality. It can be easily to apply and cost effective. Well development is helpful in increasing the performance by removing the fines and additives and allow the gravel pack to settle and consolidate. Sometimes it is provided after the completion of borehole so as to improving the transmitting properties of the formation in semi-consolidated or consolidated strata.
