The shift from mass marketing to targeted marketing and the corresponding use of a richer mix of marketing communications tools pose challenges for many marketers. If you were responsible for promoting your college or university, which of the six major forms of marketing communications would you use? How would you make sure they were integrated? Who is your target audience, and how can you best reach them with your communication?

Marketing is all full of up and downs, lows and high and vast challenges and though every marketer faces different challenges. However they typically have similar goals, some are stuck in hiring top talent, while others are having trouble finding the right technology according to their needs.

Whatever the case may be, there’s always a way to optimize the various components of marketing strategy and turning it into an even more effective revenue generator.
Moreover, generating traffic and leads are the leading challenges marketers face.
No doubt, Marketers always struggling with producing enough demand for their content, and as the years progress and competition increases, this will only become tougher and tougher. With so many options and platforms for marketers, to publish their content and even hundreds of ways to promote it, it's hard to know where to focus efforts.

I would have preffered "Advertising" - I must say "Targeted advertising" as it could have help me to save my money and covering only that part of audience whom i want to show my advertisment at the same time. Advertising offline or online has always been one of the best of the best ways to spread and communicate the marketing content more effectively as it can cover larger audience at one time.

Being a responsible person :

  • Firstly, i must have prepared a great quality content with a clear message, a great attractive design and by adding value to my advertisment.
  • If talk about online advertising -I will be conducting a routine check on how my advertised contents are performing, which includes : what kind of audience is witnessing my advertisment, what are the locations other then my preffered location, how many number of leads have been generated, who are my repeating ad viewers. All this information collected will give a correct Insight of the agggregate performance of my ADs.
  • Accordingly, it will help me to run another ADs in more significant way, targeting only those areas and people from where, there is a huge response.
  • In offline i will be posting banners and distributing attractive pamplets and prospectus to the local audience. Newspaper advertisment will also play a crucial role here.

As i will be responsible for handling all the marketing segmentation of the University and college i am promoting, part of my targeted audience would be mainly teenagers, students and scholars between the age of (14-25). Somewhere parents will also be the part of advertisment strategy, for that a strong quality content would work better.

Nowadays there are hundreds of ways to communicate an advertising content, I must have used Social media plaforms for online, as they provide a full and detailed analytics on how advertisments are performing and for offline i must have used Newspapers and Weekly magazines as they will help in covering parents who are looking for reputated colleges for their ward.
