Technology has come a long way in the last several years. Businesses and organizations have been utilizing the conveniences of technology more and more as it develops. Employees have many forms of technological communications to choose from. Many employees today also have the option of working from home or remote in various locations. Customers will use the internet or mobile apps to connect with businesses. This has led to the evolution of virtual organizations. Baack defines virtual organization as "a geographically distributed organization whose members are bound by a long-term common interest or goal and who communicate and coordinate their work through information technology" (Baack, 2017). These organizations will typically employ a smaller number of employees, then outsource many of its business functions. A couple of examples are the entertainment industry such as Hollywood and computer companies like Apple.

Some devices that have had a great impact on virtual organizations are cell phones and tablets. They allow for a level of convenience for people to work just about any where and any time. It is a method that makes connecting with people quickly and easily. Additionally, mobile and other electronic applications are widely used. With the wide use of smart devices, companies have created applications to allow for a greater level of user-friendly functionality. Social media has also definitely made an impact. Social media can be used as marketing and advertisement. Customer are able to use social media to provide feedback and reviews in which other potential customers are able to use when deciding to work with any particular company.

Adaptability/ flexibility: As the technology changes the change needs to be adapted by everyone and be flexible.The current generation become very smart in doing technology based works. Through adaptability or flexibility the kind of work that needs to be done from user end without any deviations.The expected deliveries are made simple by sitting at any location. Its mandatory to adopt things according to the change else will fall back.Technology bring that kind of growth within the less span of time.It always brings good results in the market if an organization or employee by adopting the current technology.

Low overhead cost: Compared with non technology based work,the current technology not only made things easy but reduced cost of human efforts.The AI brought into existence resolves most of the human effort which reduce both organization time and human effort in both the ways in a reduced cost or lower cost.

Ability to work remotely: Previously its very tough to deliver things from remote locations,if a performer is going on some personal work to a remote location he/she cannot be communicated or contributed in an emergency but the technology that improves both personally as well as professionally.The development at these areas are never estimated or imagined. Even a maternity employee can perform her responsibilities by sitting at remote location by accessing the organization data. Which is a value added service and also encourage women empowerment.

Creation of interdependent relationships: Technology developed in such a way that it is connected with everyone.Now there is no point of individuality they are so many options like social media through which one can interact with their loved ones and maintain a great relationships by connecting with these mediums.it not only helps each other to connect but also helps to interact with various group of people or people with same similarities for better bonding.

Effective virtual learning opportunities: Learning and exploring things become very easy through virtual assistance.There are days where people will be looking for a teacher and took long walk to reach their for effective learning skills.No its not at all required if you are connected with technology one can learn without anyone's help that's the power of technology. The virtual learning process will work based on your availability and interest it's really great opportunity where one can perform both theoretically as well as practically. Its providing enough number of opportunities for exploring things and improving skills.

Cons:

Potential loss of control and unclear leadership: The technology not only reduce human efforts but also bring issues if that is not properly organized.if there is some technical issues in between work process or sudden loss of work if there is any exceptions which again waste human efforts in bringing back or rework.If there is no control over the technology the kind of work or data that is done would be lost due to unexpected circumstances or unclear leadership. Needs to start from beginning if any unexpected things happens during work process which is a big failure of technology. Due to the miscommunication or unclear command there is a chance of sending the information to the unauthorized users.

Challenges with strategic planning: If a plan or strategy is designed the security of that plan and date needs to be stored to restrict the access to the competitors. Needs to face more challenges while implementing strategies. More and more innovative and technology based trainings needs to be provided which again a big challenge for an organization.

Security and compliance risks: The main important issue with technology is its security.If the data or information is not secured properly than needs to face so many compliance risks.Sometimes the organization may fall down because of not proper use or store of data.Again its a cost consume to the organization for data loss or theft.there are number of compliance and risks that are identified in the technology the main issue from competitors they can hack the data.

Lack of social interaction to build teamwork: The more and more knowledge is required to perform well with the technology.It's not that much easy to build a team work it need more interaction.that interaton will be gained with knowledge.People failed to perform well in social interaction due to lack of knowledge in that particular field.More understanding gained with regular interaction to build teamwork.If someone is not aware of social networking than he/she failed to build a teamwork due to lack of social interaction.Understanding technology and its uses improves social interaction through which they can build a better teamwork
