Defend or refute the contention that individuals who persistently hold on to the deceased should enter therapy. Present a personal profile of an individual “holding on to the deceased.” What does that phrase mean? After you have established this understanding and image, address the role of therapy.
Persons holding on to be the deceased ----does no mean that he or she needs to enter into a therapy. There are several reasons for which such things occoured. Mostly emotions of love and respect is the thing for which persons dont want to detach the deceased from their lives . Other things which they might think is of loneliness which they want to avoid. Several researches have occoured in this regard and from the studyies it has been conclude that even if the person enters into a new relationships , but values which he or she gets from the prior relations never got diminished and they also dont want to loose it in any way.
If the case is severe, then talk therapy which can help them feel that they are not alone can work but therapists should hve to be very very careful while implimenting the therapy because a little disrespect of the deceased in direct or indirect way can hamper the entire efforts.
