stress is referred to as the adjustive demands that are placed on an indivdual and his internal biological and psychological responses to demands. coping strategies are efforts to reduce stress. sometimes inner factors like a persons frae of reference, motives, competencies, stress tolerance etc play a dominant role in determining his oor her coping strategies. lso environmental conditions like extreme social pressure are important. stress reaction is caused due to interplay of both inner strategies and outer conditions.2 challenges are focussed while coping with stress i.e. meeting with the requirement of the stressor by actively participating or by putting continous efforts and protecting himself or herself from psychological or physical damage and diisorganisation by focussing on venting of emotions. I mainly use exercise as coping technique. regular exercise can help us cope with hassles of daily life and has physical and psychological benefitys. it reduces feelings of depression , enhances speed, and accuracy of workk and improves self concepts. it reduces risk for heart disease and cancer. the ideal exercise programme involves-

an example of using exercise is most of the times during exams I am usually stressed and I manage the stress by exercising more efficiently in the gym and after that my muscles feel relaxed and I can study without getting stressed.
