• The theories which help me understand psychology is cognitive perspective and humanistic perspective. According to cognitive theories our thoughts determine our behaviour,which I believe in.Our thoughts are a major influence on how we behave and function in our daily lives.We all have innate beliefs and desires which make up our thought process and determines our actions.Changing your thoughts and behavior can make a big difference in your life. It helps us to understand the things around us and make decisions accordingly.
• The humanistic perspective is a holistic psychological perspective that attributes human characteristics and actions to free will and an innate drive for self-actualization. It emphasizes that people are inherently good and pays special attention to personal experiences and creativity. I do believe we are driven by our needs to achieve something in life. We are living our lives because we goals and needs to satisfy,be it for food or career.
• Both these theories have helped in improving my understanding of how psychology works and also how we all lead our lives,getting an insight into how exactly we make decisions and change our behaviours and what drives us has made me understand myself as a person and reflect upon my internal processes.
