Answer--NPR reported that some newspapers that increased their size in the early 90's were recently reversing that decision by making their operations smaller ,there are many reasons which forced newspapers companies to reverse their decision like change in technology ,change in technology means the changes in readership of the newspaper due to development in technology ,nowdays almost of the important news are available in the different social media platforms ,news are also available as e-newspaper which is easily available in the digital form.Readership of newspapers also declines due to the concept of working of both male and females,due to office works no one is free read newspapers in offline modes .Nowdays offline newspapers business is declining very sharp as peoples are very busy with their works and they are also more intrested in online mode of news instead of offline newspapers.These are the main reasons by which newspapers companies making their operations smaller.
