Expert Solution

For the given scenario, there would be more distinct explanations for the fact. We can explain so many possibilities for more likeliness of the aliveness of the heart patient who own a pet. Following are two distinct explanations:

There is a possibility that the pet owner heart patients would be busier with their pets and they forget about their disease. They would be less anxious about their disease due to time spending with their pets. This would be a reason for their happiness. The mind state of happiness in the pet owners would help for alive more than that of heart patients who don’t have pets.

There is a possibility that the pet owner heart patients gets more exercise due to their pets as they wonder with their pets at the time of morning or evening. So, regular exercise will be responsible for living more for pet owners.

So, there would be more theories regarding this comparison and one can develop such theories by conducting some research methodologies.
