Expert Solution

Two-pronged approach for disaster recovery is about analysing the things that can go wrong and create disasters in an organization such as information leakage, data breach, business strategy gone wrong etc. Due to such incidents, it is possible to have cyber security threat, confidential information getting leaked in wrong hands, competitors taking advantage due to flawed strategy and information leakage etc. which all are potential disasters and threats to an organization and must be avoided. Hence it is important for an organization to foresee such disasters and devise mechanisms to plan effectively for such disaster prevention. Also in case such disasters do occur, the organization must have effective data management, backup and data recovery plan in place so that the organization is not at loss due to such disaster occurance. Hence two pronged strategy talks about prevention of disaster getting occured and also having a suitable recovery strategy in place if such disasters do occur.
