Disasters can occur at any time and can causes a lot of damage to the organization. Even a small data loss can also cause a disaster to company. In many organizations , everything is connected to each other and a disaster at one part can suspend the whole organization.

So a disaster recovery plan should always be there in organizations. These plans helps in protecting businesses from falling apart in case of disasters. It is an action plan and can be taken before the disaster if it gets detected or after it has caused the devastation. Disasters are not always avoidable but these plans can help the organizations to get back on the line as soon as possible.

These plans minimize the losses, increases security and avoid potential damages. So disaster recovery plan must be among the topmost priority for an organization.

Example:- Due to the Covid19 pandemic, everything was halted. This causes the organizations a great loss. But many companies had disaster recovery plan and used it to get back in field. Some immediately started Work From Home and that's really the part of disaster management plan. While those who didn't had any plan , suffered losses and even declared bankruptcy.
