After a disaster the sequence of restoring the services are as follows.

  • Firstly you have to make sure the safety of your employees. You have to look if everybody in the manufacturing plant is safe. Transporting the employees to a safer location should be done in priority. Giving medical aid to the injured persons and notification to emergency department should be followed.
  • If your company or manufacturing plant is no more in condition to work then there should be some alternative place to keep the work moving. Important documents should be shifted to the alternative location and in terms of plant manufacturing maximum equipments should be moved out from the premises.
  • An emergency HR plan should be activated which can communicate in account the overall assets lost in the disaster. Responsibility should be given to specific peoples in the manufacturing plant for making sure everything goes as per the emergency response plan. Distribution of the work structure at an emergency site and moving out the finished products from the manufacturing plant after the disaster is also necessary.
  • Most of the big companies have a contract with their emergency Restoration partners. After a disaster the restoration operator should be contacted and the Restoration should be started as soon as possible. While selecting the Restoration operator his safety record, level of experience and some market strategy about the reliability of the Restoration partner should be done.
  • After finishing the above task on priority a total estimation of the lost property and resources should be done. The manufacturing facility restoration guideline should be provided and the insurance companies should be contacted afterwards.
  • For avoiding the future after effect of disasters, training programs should be introduced into the system by providing the actual experiences from the previous disaster.
  • Restoring the overall facility and systems after contacting the insurance department should be done. A message should be reconstructed after the disaster to update the targeted customers and Society.
  • Time fencing can be defined as difference between two steps of a Plan Structure. Time fencing is basically used to improve the overall efficiency and reduce the costs by better management of time.
