Please describe the differences between a paradigm and a methodology in research. How would you classify your research as, explorative, descriptive, analytical or predictive?
The difference between paradigm and methodology is that the paradigm iw the simple belief system or just a theory regarding how the things are done and the way we do the things or simply said, a set of the practices. On the other hand, methodolgy refers to the practical approach of doing the things. It is the careful and organised plan that would control the way of how something is done or carried out.
Our research would be exploratory if we are not giving any prediction or conclusions. We are just exploring the problem of our research and clarifies the exact nature for the problem to be solved.
Our research would be descriptive when we would describe the characteristics of the phenomenon or the population that is being studied in the research. It doesn't answer any question regarding why it happened, what made this happen etc. We are just describing the facts of the population studied.
Out research would be analytical if the researcher or we use the information and the data alreadya available to us to analyse the same information to make a critcical evaluation for the material and derive conclusions using analytical skills.
At last, our research would ne predictive when we would use the
data and information collected by us to estimate or forecast the
future events or behaviours of people or situations around. We
assess the variables given to us to predict a phenomenon that would
be assessed at a later point.
