The main parts of writing consists of pre-writing, composing, and post-writing; which can be further sub-divided into planning; organizing/ gathering; drafting / composing; editing/ revising; and proof reading. In my opinion editing/ revising is the most difficult part. It involves looking at each sentence carefully, and ensures that it is properly designed and serves its motive. It is the toughest part of the writing process than the initial thinking that helped me to write draft one, largely because I may have to unthink ideas which are either misplaced or irrelevant; or even wrong in the context to the main purpose. It is easy to think new ideas, but difficult to work out how new ideas might fit with the older ideas that are good, and can be stayed. And usually, almost always for me, this process of thinking happens while I am rewriting the text pieces that require the changes. It’s difficult and requires a long time, and is very demanding of my mental and emotional resources. `The revision part is important and even good for you for a reason as it allows to rethinking which facilitates my growth as a writer. It assists me to deepen my understanding and knowledge as it allows working on clearer and more credible approach to articulate what I already know and what it indicates in the context of the text argument. To improve it I will require feedback that recognises what I have done well, and point out the gaps (and collect suggestions on how to cover them), and probe thinking by asking the variety of questions. Feedback will help me to make choices to know understand where I am going wrong, why, and how they could get onto the right track.
