a case that resulted in a legislative change requested by an advocacy group after a fatal event. In this instance, the family is looking to effect change via the political process. However, this approach is rarely successful. Do you think the concepts of social marketing could be used in this instance or one like it? What are the six basic steps of social marketing?

The advent of technology and digitalization has enhanced the level of awareness as well as reach of the overall citizens. Technology has also enhanced the overall reach of a social campaign. Social marketing has emerged as a medium which helps in changing the outlook of citizens and enhancing their overall disposition towards society. Social marketing focuses on making the citizens aware and encourage them to come up with ways in which the overall society can be developed and prosperity can be encouraged. Social marketing can prove to be quite fruitful for a case resulting in a legislative change. Social marketing will make people read and find out about the case and form opinion about the same. Social marketing will also make the people about the change which was brought about by the case and how it can be implemented in real time in the society.

The basic steps followed in social marketing are as follows:

· Identify and describe the problem in hand

· Conduct a market survey to understand the status quo and the pain points

· Develop a marketing strategy keeping the primary stakeholders in consideration

· Plan the implementation of the intervention

· Plan the monitoring as well as control of the intervention

· Implement the intervention in real time and then evaluate the results
