Can organizations that have different Missions and Visions still require similar training? Can you provide examples?
An Organization undertakes the process of Strategic Planning which is that planning process of the Company which is long-term in nature that is created in order to ensure that the Organization can avail the competitive advantage in the industry by striking a balance between its internal resources with that of the external ones, including various weaknesses and threats. In this regard, the role of Human Resource is very significant. It imparts training to ensure that there is an alignment of employee’s activities to the Organization’s strategic plan. For this, various generic training are to be imparted which shall remain similar across all the Organizations.
The generic steps for Training are:
Let us take an example of an IT Company and a Food processing Company. Both, owing to different industry they belong to, may have distinct vision and mission statements. However, both shall require a definite training to be given to their employees to serve the customers or clients better. The grooming of the employees who shall be directly dealing with the customers or the clients is essential. In case of the IT Industry, the clients could be the entities who outsource their activities to this Company. In case of a Food Processing Company, the intermediaries and the end-customer shall be important. In this regard, the training shall involve how to improve communication with the third parties, how to reduce the respond time in the operations chain, etc. Therefore, though the statements are different, their training could still be on a similar grounds.
