Charlie has just learned about web services architecture and is convinced that it is the best thing since sliced bread! Even better, he has just found out that Amazon offers a set of its web services for developers to use. He just can't wait to tell Suzanne about this.
Visit the website provided in the Optional Resources section of the Unit Schedule or find a similar web services provider to learn about web services that are provided to developers.
Then, answer the following questions.
1. Developing an application based on these type of web services is to be considered. The main reason is that architecture of webservices defines the method or ways to represent the elements and also to implement these kinds of operations in inter operational manner. Webservices usually posses a life cycle that generates from requirement and then to development. All the requirements and necessities of business must be identified and can be converted into webservice requirements by experienced analytics. As soon as this is completed, the requirements are then later refined, interpreted and converted into conceptual models which can be recognized easily by the responsible development team. Later the designing of the web services is done, then the coding and finally it is tested. All in, I think this is a good approach that is in line with last week's suggested object-oriented approach.
2. I do think the architecture of web services is a fantastic technology and should be included in the PPI project. These services offer inter - operability applications which means that data can be exchanged and shared by these different applications. Web services often use the HTTP protocol to pass data from one device to another, thus reducing the possibility of network overloads. During the design process, these systems can also be easily implemented and are easy to set up.
