1. As has been discussed in this chapter, nuclear and/or radiological weapons are extremely difficult for terrorists to obtain and/or develop. Still, even small versions of these weapons can cause extreme destruction and death. Because of the difficulty for terrorists to obtain them without being tracked, threats from such weapons are considered to be a low when compared to other types of weapons used by terrorists. Do you think it is poor judgment to consider these a smaller threat, or does it make sense to pour more resources into stopping other CBRNE weapons, considering the damage they can cause, and how much easier they are for terrorists to acquire?
It's true that nuclear and radiological weapons are difficult to attain but it's impact last the longest, even thousands of years. On the other hand other CBRNE weapons too have their own impact. However we cannot give low consideration to these radiological and nuclear weapons due to the fact that they are difficult to attain. These weapons of mass destruction also called as unconventional weapons, can cause unpredictable death on massive scale. Nuclear weapons are the most destructive because of its explosive devices. Then comes chemical weapons, then biogical weapons. So of course it's a poor judgement to consider nuclear weapons as a small threat. Nuclear terrorism is a serious danger to the contemporary world and the terrorist groups are trying to meet their objective by using maximum modern scientific know-how.Also there are many cases that terrorist groups could have access to weapons of massive destruction materials. If nuclear materials comes to the hands of these groups it will cause massive harm and threat to human life and property. So high securities for such materials such as uranium, plutonium, etc, are required to ensure that terrorist can't exploit any compromises or gaps in the defenses.
Also we know that other CBRNE weapons which are more easily available, have to be considered with great consideration. But however giving less consideration to these nuclear weapons is not the solution. All the CBRNE weapons will be attracted by a well-funded terrorist group. So all should get it's own importantance.
