Expert Solution

Overall, I realized that the character of “Jesus” is not what the play is actually all about. The play deals with the creation of a community as such. Although the play has the disclaimer that it is not a Gospel, the character of “Jesus” here is certainly inspired from the New Testament. This Jesus is a common man who cannot perform miracles neither is his dressing style regressive. Jesus in this play is not competent to heal the sick people, neither does he comes back to life from his death. However, one can associate with this Jesus as a person who has high affection for the people around. He has a warm approach. As a teacher, he imbibes a lot of patience. In terms of rendering the most integral element of the Bible, this Jesus is also there with the preaching. He preaches to love God because loving Him means to being good to the Community as well. This Jesus further goes down to detest the act of hypocrisy. He also celebrates the Last Supper. He further has the magnanimity of forgiving those who sin against Him. He also teaches his friends how to make the life more worthy. He faces the act of betrayal by His friend and is finally executed as well for He challenges the status quo existing in the society in terms of hoarding of Power.

Right now, because of a show they saw, they’re curious about how people use the state of a dead body to figure out how long ago a death occurred. They share that one thing that usually happens after death is called rigor mortis, where the muscles get really stiff. They ask you, “Why does that happen?”...
