The biggest transformation of benefit that Eric Canal has brought to both the Young Nation and the New York city is largely in the field of Transportation, Commercialisation, Economic growth, Agriculture amd Immigration.
As the great lakes along with Atlantic Ocean through the Hudson River are all connected by Eric Canal which is 363 miles waterway.
Due to which it connects large areas like sparsely populated frontiers of western New York which has turned cities of New York into economic powerhouse.
It provides longest route for water transportation through which goods in bulk can be transported. It provides more of agriculture expansion and easy immigration. All this leads to more and more commersialisation and the cities flourish economically as well.
