how different types of land cover are correlated with different abundances of wild bees.
Bees can reproduce and survive where there will be the favorable nesting area is available. from the flower as food. bees are used as the best pollinator since the ancient time of farming. Bees are the good pollinators they suck the nectar According to the land cover, there are the following types :
1. Softwood tree forest (Coniferous area): Coniferous forest is the poor land cover for the bees as the chances of light passes through this forest is less. Due to the less sunlight, there will be fewer chances of flowering plants to grow. Flowering plants are the main sources for their survival
2. Deciduous Forests: deciduous forests consists of the hardwood or mixed hardwood and softwood trees. This is a moderate type of land cover for bees. Some sort of sunlight allows coming from the tree canopy which allows growing some wild type of flowering plants which is the nest for the bees.
3. mixed forest edge: This comes in between the deciduous and other land cover types. This is the best land cover for the bees. It provides a high-quality nesting facility for the bees as there will be the no. of wildflowers due to a sufficient amount of sunlight are which provides the flower nectar for the bees.
4. Wetlands: This is the moderate type of land cover for the bees. As land is wet ground nesting is very less. But somehow it provides the cavity-nesting is available in woody shrubs.
5. Waters: This is the poor landcover for the bees as it is typically covered by water. It provides very few cavity-nesting no ground-nesting. Cavity nesting is available in the stem of submerged flowering plants.
6. Grassland: Grassland is providing a moderate type of land cover for the bees. As the grassland is open there will fewer chances of cavity-nesting for the bees due to lack of woody plants. It provides the ground-nesting.
7. Urban Landcover: Urben type of land cover is good for bees. As in the developed part soil is open which provides the ground-nesting for the bees in the garden and park-like area. As in urban area, there are trees alongside of the roads, gardens which are full of flowering plants are available which provide the cavity-nesting for the bees.
