Enterprise Resource Planning.

It is the next level of Material Requirment planning. In Amazon, they are using two types of planning using oracle application as follows,

  • Min Max Planning - The minimum and maximum quantity are entered in application for each SKU's in inventory. If the quantity reduces the below minimum level, automatically the purchase order will raise to the vendor with the Maximum quantiy which we entered already
  • Reorder Planning - It is safety level, the item reduces the below level in on hand, immediatly it alert us to raise a purchase order to keep the on hand quantity with buffer level.
