What is AppLocker? What's the advantages and disadvantages of this program?

AppLocker is a locking technological application for Windows. It works on the program path and based on that information certain programs are allowed to be executed by the users. Certain programs are restricted. It also uses the knowledge of hash and publisher while deciding on these factors.

Advantages:

• It offers privacy to the user.
• Unauthorized users can't access the apps of someone else.
• Instead of locking the whole device, it allows locking certain application programs only.
• It also protects the internet use of a user by not allowing someone else to have access to the internet of the phone.
• It allows locking of system settings.
• It prevents uninstallation of data or application from one's mobile by someone else.

Disadvantages:

• It requires constant tweaking and updating of authorized applications.
• If someone has admin rights in the phone or system, they can change the applocker policies.
• It doesn't support all the Windows versions.
• It only works with servers 2012, 2008, 2016, and 2019.
• It doesn't work with professional editions of Windows.
