I phone is the star product of Apple. An I phone is designed in America, hence it is an American product. The company uses an assembly operations method where differnt parts are manufactured in different location which are then transported to one location to be assembled. The headquarters of Apple is located in California but different parts of the I phone are manufactured in different countries and the phones are assembled in there Chinese factory.
The software of the phone and certain parts like the chips, the covering glass are manufactured in the U.S by different companies such as Broadcom, PMC Sierra, Cirrus Logic etc. The company also buys certain subparts from its competitors like Samsung, LG, Sharp and other companies in Japan.
The touch screen is built in Taiwan and Korea and the Gyroscope which is used to track the Cell phone’s location is made in Germany. All these parts are shipped to China where they are assembled into the final product.
