**PRODUCT IS COCA-COLA
For Coca-Cola case strudy, the 2 markets I have considered are the U.S. amd India.
Here's a summary on the various issues affecting Coke in these markets.
Ethical: The ethical issue here is twofold. One is the fact that Coca Cola makes a product that has a unrealistically high sugar content making it a highly unhealthy beverage to have, the other is that the company doesn't highlight this fact explicitly thus keeping the consumers in the dark about the potential harmful effects of having a Coke, which include but are not limited to obesity, & sugar addiction to name a few.
Legal: Legal issues are not many in this case as what the company does is within the ambit of the law. The legal battles that it faces in these markets are mostly related to groundwater depletion (cases usually filed by the local authorities or citizens) and in some cases deceptive marketing, where it promotes its products as healthy when they are not.
Social: The social issue affecting Coca Cola is the huge exploitation of natural resource, primarily water. The amount of water being used has led to big time depletion of water table across its markets, leading to widespread protests from the citizens as they face growing water shortage. Coca Cola does little to recharge the water table that it depletes so quickly and the problemm is becoming more and more acute as time passes.
