Apple has been in light for failing to protect the Chinese workers in their manufacturing facilities. And sting operation was carried out by an Undercover BBC panorama investigator. This is specific investigation provided and information of the worst working conditions for chinese workers. Everything from ID cards, dormitory, juvenile workers as well as work meeting are breached in these specific manufacturing plants. Bad conditions of the specific manufacturing plants for sale on and overtime sleeping at the production line was also presented in the specific sting operation.
Apple does not directly contacted any of the media houses but they released and statement of showing the dedication towards the working conditions improvement for their workers. Decide that work with the suppliers to address the shortfalls and to see the continuous and significant improvement. Apple also send by defending the sleeping of the workers during the job time was a common practice.
Foxconn is one of the biggest suppliers for apple and in China 14 of the employees of foxconn killed themselves for not being treated properly inside an organisation. After these killings Apple released a new guideline of the standards for there factory workers and moved some of the workers from the inside factories to the outskirts of Shanghai. This specific code of conduct wasn't able to stop the unethical practices done by apples manufacturing facilities in China. Workers are forced to attend unpaid meetings even after there schedule work hours.
Just like the conditions in China apple's other manufacturing facilities in Indonesia is also very exploiting for their workers and Apple is totally unaware of the conditions as they doesn't even care about there worker's conditions. Extremely dangerous mining conditions and the child labour is one of the major problems from the specific manufacturing facilities.
As per the report Apple still does not very involved in correcting the situations which is totally unethical and Apple has been filled in protecting the Chinese workers.
