A consumer faces different challenges with respect to the health care. The first challenge is consumer's inability to control the cost or expense of the health care. It is always in the hands of others or different health care providers. It becomes very difficult for the consumers to not to follow the recommendations given by the health care providers or physicians, because not following the plan, can bring failure of treatment and for this, consumer is held responsible. The second challenge is the lack of knowledge regarding their rights and ethical conduct on the part of health care providers. If known, then also, it will solve few issues such as selection of facilities, rooms or even a treatment plan. The third challenge is the trade-off between health care services to be prevailed and premium or deductibles to be paid. A good health today, does not guarantee the same in the future also. So, consumers face a trade off. For this, consumers can go for the preventive health care plans.
Above are some challenges to be
faced by the consumers.
