A corporate controller is the head of the accounts department and is considered as one of the toughest jobs to perform in the company which requires experience, knowledge, integrity and willigness to work hard whereas job of cashier is more of a routine job and he do not have to take any decisions, but just follow the guidelines.

Interview of both the persons need to be approached differently but starting with same set of questions about their past accusations in the final round of interview, I may discuss abiut the past and what are they accused of, what they think are the chances of they being acquitted. However, for the CC the interview would be longer discussing about range of topics. Some of the questions which can be asked from CC are:

  • how he think are the main problems in the company, as far as he knows
  • how he can act upon them
  • what he thinks of the current industry and consumer trends

I would ask these questions to CC because of the technalities involved in his job role and to judge his macro as well as micro views, to learn about his research techniques.

whereas with cashier it would be general questions like:

  • where does he see himself after 5/10 years
  • what he thinks are the ways he can improve his job role
  • is he willing to shift to another job role if opportunity given

These questions would be based upon the assessment of his personal traits.
