Discuss the differences between Attributes Control Charts and Variables Control Charts and how you believe one can benefit a company/organization over the other, and why/why not.
(Note: Pleaee, the answer has to be typed, not hand written nor a picture.)
Thank you.
Variable data control charts
Variable data require that two control charts be used in pairs: one to monitor the process average and the other to monitor process variation.
X-bar and R control charts are used for variable data.
Attribute data control charts
The distinction between defective and number of defects must be understood before using attribute control charts
Any type of defect monitoring would be easily find out through attribute control charts
np control charts, P chart, C chart, and U charts are attribute control charts
Difference:
variable control charts are used when the data is continuous whereas attribute control charts are used when the data is for Defective or Defects.
Process Out of Control:
After computing the control limits, the next step is to determine whether the process is in statistical control or not. If not, it means there is external causes that throws the process out of control. This cause must be traced and removed so that the process may return to operate under stable statistical conditions.
VAriable:
Any organization wants to monitor the performance would be possible through variable control charts.
- variable control charts are used to measure the quality characteristics in numbers.
The change of variable would be measure with control limits. performance are monitored through lower control limits and upper control limits.
Attribute:
Defect monitoring for any type of industry would be very easy through attribute control charts.
