The most important way to decrease work stress is to find any off switch. We currently are surrounded by technology that for the most part allows us to do work from anywhere. We have ready access to computers, phones, laptops and emails. We needs to be able to turn these things off and immerse ourselves into our personal lives with no interruptions from work.    Along these lines it is also important to take time off from the job. Be sure to use personal and vacation days so that you are able to recharge and remove yourself from the job stress. I think it is also important to identify what is causing you stress in the workplace to begin with. By identifying stressors we can more readily address them. If you are unable to find ways to address them then you need to get input from your supervisor for possible solutions. You also need find ways to vent the stress. I find that exercise is a good release of stress for me. If exercise is not your thing then maybe try meditation. It is a great way to clear our mind of all the days stressors.    If all else fails and you really can not manage the stressors in a current job then perhaps leaving the position is a viable alternative. I say this because chronic stress has been proven to effect your health. Uncontrolled stress levels have been documented to cause hypertension, high cholesterol, headaches and stomach aches to name a few.

The given passage provides insight into stress management. At present, we all are surrounded by different types of technologies that allow us to work from anywhere. This feature also results in increased work stress as the person is not able to give proper time to the family and for his own personal life.

For a better-balanced life, having the off from the daily office work, going on vacation is important. But at the same time, one has to also look for the source of workplace stress. In this regard, the supervisors can help not only to find the sources but the mediums of avoiding the stress. Exercise and meditation can be used as effective methods for dealing with stress. If despite all this, the stress is not reduced then the person should think of leaving the position and look for the other alternatives else the chronic stress can be fatal for the health

Overall the passages gave a good introduction to workplace stress and how it can be resolved. In fact, the passage mainly focuses on the effects that are made by the person but it lacks to highlight the involvement of the employers in reducing the stress level
