my topic is "mudguard fender of motorbike"
this is the product i seleted.
so i want " structural Analysis " for mudguard fender of
motorbike
When I was in my engineering days we did the structural analysis as well. And it took us months to complete It. Now I wish I had all those pro e software like ansys and Catia or FEA to solve this. I can help you with a broad outline because I know no body will be able to model that for you. Because it would take whole lot of time. But I will tell you what you need to do!
1) Modelling needs to be done in a Pro e software, one which has Fea tools like ansys, catia etc.
2) you can get many designs from internet for trial. Although you yourself will have to make it. But you will get the design for sure.
3) After you make the model or get It, you have to performed FE meshing using hyper mesh.
4) I will help you with material properties and all
E(MPa) 1000-1200
Poisons ratio 0.25-0.5 , keep somewhere near o.35
Density 1.5- 9 kg for the fender.
Yield stress - 30 to 34 MPA
Ultimate stress - 42 to 50 MPA.
5)After having assigned the materials you will have to do structural analysis which would include determining displacement , stress, strains and other parameters
6) then you will have to performed multistage optimization
Finally the topology optimization.
Fender weight can be around 1.48 kg and 3 mm thickness.
