What are the characteristics of effective managers and effective leaders?
Following are the characteristics of 'effective' managers and leaders:
1. Self-confidence:
any effective manager on an effective leader would have self-confidence and positive thinking about oneself because without having self-confidence, any person would not get influenced by them.
Self-confidence gives a person the ability to influence others and make them achieve their goals.
2. Good communication skills:
management and leadership both requires to communicate with the followers and employees working in the organization.
An effective manager would require excellent communication skills to motivate, supervise, and guide the employees to work with optimum productivity and efficiency to reach the desired goals.
An effective leader would also require excellent communication skills to influence the behavior of others.
3. Ethical character:
an effective manager or leader would require an ethical or moral character with certain self-discipline principles and a positive attitude towards others.
An effective leader would require good moral character because without having a good character on his own, he would not influence others to work with a good character.
4. Compassion:
both the active leader and effective manager would require to be compassionate would the feelings of others, and they need to empathize with the situations the employees of the followers are going through.
An effective manager or leader would require to take care of their employees or followers' needs and interests to retain them and satisfy them and give them a sense of trust and belongingness.
