A hair dryer is a hand-held device that accelerates the hair drying process by blowing out high velocity hot air.

a) Identify the primary function of the hair dryer. Develop a functional tree diagram (fast diagram).

b) Identify and group the stakeholders. Propose and discuss strategies for identifying the customer needs.

c) Propose a performance requirement relating to each of the following: airflow, surface temperature and exit air temperature (three requirements in total). Identify verification categories and methods for each of those requirements – justify your choice. Ensure that you use appropriate requirement terminology.

The primary function of a hair dryer is to blow hot air over damp hair to speed the evaporation of water to dry the hair.

the minimum flow rate the dryer fan must provide to keep the average air tem. below 60 c. about .047 m3/s volume of air measuring 1m*1m*2.8m.

diffusers are great for people who have curly hair. which can help to define curls and add volume. concentrators narrow the hair dryer air flow to blow air directly on hair for sleek and smooth styles.

surface temperature should not exeed beacause that can damage dryer body or harm the user. a hair dryer temperature should be in limit. it should not exceed 20 C.

hair dryer exit temperature shold not exceed 60 C. because that can damage hair. because drying hair with 47 C is enough.
