Present days we can see the rapid changes in the field of cyberspace, these changes are not only in technologies but also in ethics of internet. Some are advocating free internet while others are suggesting the censorship over internet and its contents. Well every development comes with pros and cons, here we will discuss about some pros and cons of free internet.
Pros of open Internet- The open internet creates the ideas and provide a platform to each and every individual in this world. Internet supported campaigns, social and cultural reforms. We used internet to generate creative ideas, find appropriate information and knowledge. Open internet connected world and made the globalization possible, give opportunities to perform, spread in front of world.
Cons of Open Internet- The open internet helped terrorism, racism, government resistance and spreading rumours. Government authorities cannot reduce, control the flow of information and contents over internet because lack of regularization and censorships. Cybercrime has increased because of open internet, we can spread our false and hypothetical ideas all over the world which made significant difference between government authorities and people.
In my opinion, internet must be open and free but regulated by the social interests and security.
