Expert Solution

a. A hypothesis of an experiment is a tentative answer or statement and the effect between the two variables that a researcher wants to study.

For example; if I exposed the children to noise how it would affect their concentration in studies.

b. The experimental design consists of two groups, one is the experimental group who will be exposed to the independent variable, (noise) that a researcher can manipulate to study the children's behavior that is the concentration (dependent variable). A second group is a controlled group that will not be exposed to any changes.

c. The independent variable is the variable that a researcher can manipulate to study its effects on the dependent variables.

During the research, the samples can be divided randomly into two groups one is the experimental group (A) and the second will, be the controlled group.

The samples under observation that is the experimental group (A) are observed while introducing the noise in the classroom. The behavior of the samples with a loud noise would be noted, and then the researcher would manipulate the sound and make it low or high and observe the behavior of the sample.

The control group would not be exposed to any noise or changes and they would be made to read under natural circumstances.

The effect of the independent variable that is noise would be studied and noted down as data for further analysis.

d. In the above case, the dependent variable is the behavior of the students that is the concentration that is being measured while introducing the independent variable "noise".

e. In this experiment the children are used as a sample, 1.it is important to take consent of the parents/guardian before the experiment. 2. They should not be harmed, 3. The researcher has to be unbiased.
