Ans: Engineer LeMessurier is a structural engineer for Stubbin’s Citicorp Center in New York City. By the phone call of a student he discovered that the building would collapse in 16 year strom that means there may be chance of getting collapsed by the wind one in sixteen chance in a year. First of all the Lemessurier should do the theoretical and practical checking of the all loads and intensities acting on the building. And after the analysis he should immediately make the required changes and he should make sure that the execution will done as per specifications. After knowing that the welding should done for joints , even though knowing the fact he should not put the lives of public at risk. He first make them empty the site and then they should do the repair works.
Once the mistake is done it couldn’t be changed so we have to correct it. First he should inform it to the both client and company. Then he can empty the building and do the all necessary modifications. Even though he should pay some penalty for this , he should deal the problem in this way. And finally make sure that it should not repeat at any time at any cost.
From this experience he educate the others on ethics importance of admitting mistakes and correcting them.
2) I will tell them the situation about the building and make the building empty immediately , even though its not that much easy but lives is important than the structure.
3) No , because even if the building occupied or not occupied doesn't make difference because if the people are not there means that the public is not live around the building. Is its collapsed at any chance then it will definetly effect the others heavily.
