Introduction-
Project Management- It refers to leading a team work towards the desired sets of goal in order to achieve them and thus ensuring success of the whole project through effective and efficient management of the project. In project management every aspect is planned out in detail whether human resources required, financial resources,raw material to be required, managing stakeholders etc prior to the start of the project in order to effectively carry out its activities
In order for the construction of a college building project using project mangement concept, tools and techniques the two key aspects of the following are
1) Scheduling project resources and cost- It refers to the overall management of the resources and the cost requirement of the project.Here the project manager is responsible for the arrangement of the required resources and its cost that is required in the project by estimating them prior to the start of the project , for which a manager need to make a detailed plan regarding what are resources to be required in this construction project than how to procure the required resources what will be the sources from which they are collected and what will be its estimated cost to be included in the project and other such detail of the resourceswill be acquired by the project manager
The project manager is also responsible for the overall cost of the project as cost factor is the factor that is involved at every step of the project. for which the project manager need to make the proper estimation of the cost factor that is involved in each step of the project so in order to know the actual cost of the project and thus making arrangement for the required financial resources for the project This construction project requires cost from the very first level i.e from acquiring resources and than making arrangement to bring them at the required destination, than the cost requires to acquire human resources , cost of required tools and equipment required in the process and so other
2) Managing Project (team) Human resources- Human resources are considered of the important aspect of any of the project as with the availability of human resources no project can be completed and no just the availability of human resources will be sufficient for the human resources but a proper and effective management is required for the available human resources for the effective executive and implemention of the project thus for which the project manager makes its best effort through its knowledge and experiences to manage these human resources.
This construction of a college building requires human resources at various level for its successful implementation thus the project manager will first check out the areas where and at what level these human resources are required than makes the arrangement to acquire these human resources through the hiring and recruiting process which ensure the right person to the right job as these human resources are required at various level from lower level i.e labours to the higher level i.e leader and assistant manager so making the required recruitment of these resources Thus after making effective recruitment the project manager also needs to provide them with the required training in order to make their working smooth and effective and they requires proper and effective guidance for the project.
