Are the criteria for being an ideal democratic citizen fair, or do we expect too much from people? How do American citizens compare to the ideal democratic citizen? Does it matter if we are not ideal citizens?

Being ideal democratic citizen is somewhat fair in my understanding but being active in the society and continuously questioning the democracy as well as fighting for the change for any kind of implementation in the society should be done. Democratic citizenship should be based on improvement of the society rather than just sitting idle. Is the basic idea behind the democracy is that the specific process of governance is by the people, to the people and for the people. By looking at this condition we can specifically say that maintaining a strong identity in the respective environment is very essential as it increases the overall influence and possibility of getting fair outcome of the specific democratic environment.

America is very widely distributed into several regions, where each and every region have different set availability of believes. An ideal democratic citizen cannot be compared with an American citizen as America has a very wide variety of cultural differences as well as believes that create a huge difference in setting up the basic guidelines for an ideal democratic citizen against an American citizen. All of these is specific conditions are definitely aligning with the standards of United States of America as most of the Americans know about their democratic rights and implementation of the same in the respective environment.

Being an ideal citizen is one of the most essential part to live in any specific country. Aligning the standards of the society as well as following the guidelines which are are very essential for the specific region is very essential for an individual to be a part and be an ideal citizen of the respective country. Living in a democracy give you freedom to question the change as well as to consistently developed your views of the specific system which would be only utilised if any specific individual is causing ideal characteristics of a democratic individual that is related to questioning and improving the society by consistently questioning in a fair manner.
