About 200 words if you are making a presentation to a group, write about the different things you can do to pull it off flawlessly. Think about what you can do in terms of preparation, ensuring room and equipment setup, and using your whole host of verbal and non-verbal communication skills to create a flawless presentation.
A presentation is a live demonstration of your ideas, and how you choose to present a set of data to high ranking members of either your organization or your clients. Presentations need to be perfect so that your bosses and clients are impressed and you are in their good graces. So, what are the things that you need to remember while giving a presentation? Well, they are as follows -
1. Show your Passion and Connect with your Audience. Be enthusiastic and honest, and the audience will respond.
2. Focus on your Audience’s Needs. You need to make it easy for your audience to understand and respond.
3. Keep it Simple: Concentrate on your Core Message. And if what you are planning to say doesn’t contribute to that core message, don’t say it.
4. Smile and Make Eye Contact with your Audience
5. Remember the 10-20-30 Rule for Slideshows. This is a tip from Guy Kawasaki of Apple. He suggests that slideshows should: Contain no more than 10 slides; Last no more than 20 minutes; and Use a font size of no less than 30 point.
6. Use your Voice and Body Effectively
7. Make sure that the room in which you are giving your presentation is dark, and that the audience can view your presentation. Ensure that the projector and the computer it is connected to is properly functioning, and that all settings are correctly adjusted.
8. Finally, never use colorful fonts or backgrounds in your presentation. It appears loud, and sometimes, it might not be effective.
