Answer-1- Individuality is the most important aspect of human personality. According to J.S. Mill, individuality is different from the rules and laws of the custom. He said that choosing the same things just because it's the manner in which things are usually done around here does not refer to individuality. It refers to being different from others in one's preferences, values, way of life etc. Individuality is associated with the development of someone's capacities and talents. According to J.S. Mill, individuality provides the capacity to identify oneself and take his/her own decisions.
Answer-2- J.S. Mill explained that expressing our individuality is essential for us as well as for the development of the society. Individuality cultivates the self. We can develop our individuality by making our own choices, the desires and motives should be our own. We need to express our opinions freely without caring for the rules of the custom. At the same time, we should also take care of our actions. Our actions should not harm others. It's necessary to become more valuable to oneself. According to Mill, all people need to value their originality to develop individuality among them.
