please do this as simple as you can!
if you flip a fair coin 10 times what is the
probability of
a) getting all tails?
b) getting all heads
c) getting atleast 1 tails
if you toss a fair coin one time,
then the probability of getting head = 1/2 and probability of getting tail = 1/2
a).if you flip a coin 10 times , then the probability of getting all tails is :-
probability of getting tail in first trial = 1/2
probability of getting tail in n th trial = 1/2
so,the probability of getting all tails is:-
P(1st trail)*P(2nd trail).........*P(10th trail)
= 1 / 1024
b).if you flip a coin 10 times , then the probability of getting all heads is :-
probability of getting head in first trial = 1/2
probability of getting head in n th trial = 1/2
so,the probability of getting all heads is:-
P(1st trail)*P(2nd trail).........*P(10th trail)
= 1 / 1024
c).probability of getting atleast 1 tails in 10 flips be:-
=1 - probability of getting no tail in the 10 tosses
= 1- probability of getting all heads in the 10 tosses
[ from b]
