LP7 Assignment: Union vs. Nonunion.
Directions: identifying the differences between a union and a nonunion organization.
Include:
1. The relationship between management and employees.
2. Specific laws that impact each.
3. How compensation, benefits, and working conditions may
vary.
4. Identify current legislation impacting unions and where you see
them going in the future.
5. Your opinion/experience with either or both of these
environments. Discuss positive employee relations strategies and
non-monetary rewards.
The difference between the union and non union organization is explained below:

The organization structure varies as where the union and its member will be involved in structuring the organization by hiring a leader for them. |
The organization structure will be in the hierarchy level as where a proper control structure will be maintained. |
A contract is made between the management and the union and the workers will act according to that documentation. |
A set of rules, policies etc will be made in the organization, so that working hours, promotion etc will happen without any issues. |
Grievance handling is very difficult in union organization as where there are several steps included to resolve the problem. |
Grievance handling is simple as where the non union organization will have set of rules to resolve the problem. |
The union representatives will be involving on deciding the wages, salary, bonus etc in the union organization. |
In the non union organization the employees and the manager will have a discussion towards salary bonus etc and offer for the employee is made according to that. |
Quality is less focused as where the union will always create problem in the organization. |
Quality has been more focused in the non union organization. |
The union will have safety working condition as they always need their workplace to be with safe and secured. |
Luxury working condition and benefits will be provided to the non union organization. |
