every business should have a ethical code. Ethical code in the organisation shows how a organisation is running. The code of ethics you create communicates the company's philosophy to employees, vendors, customers, clients and the public.

steps a company should take to construct for a good ethical code:

1.initial step for any business before setting up ethical code in your organisation is review the ethical code of the related business. See what are their strategies and what is required for your company.

2.review all the documents of the business that can help you to decide ethical code for your business. Use those documents as a guide when you create your formal code of ethics.

3.Think about the ethical dilemmas that face not only your company, but also its competitors. The ethical issues differ from one company to another. And its important to mention such things in the ethical code of the business.

4.before making the ethical code think from the perspective of the employee. Many companies does not bother about it.if the employees are not happy then they wont work hard and the business will not survive in the long run. Suggestions from the employees should be taken.

5.If your small business is mainly a family affair, outside employees might feel intimidated when they work with your family members. Make sure the code of ethics directly addresses hiring practices nd the outlets for perceived grievances

6.Appoint a person who can efficiently look after the code of ethics. Provide all the facilities so that she could do her job with utmost perfection.allow her to interact with the members of the organisation.the situation should be like every person should be in a position to share their grievances about the work place.

7.after considering all the factors send it to the lawyer of the organisation.and ask him for suggestions.

in this process a good ethical code of conduct in the business can be established.

according to me the main thing to be considered is suggestions of the employees .if their is anything in the work place which they are not comfortable about then they cannot perform their duties well.this will definitely effect the organisation.and if it effect the organisation it cannot survive in the long run.
