a museum would like to introduce mobile application to enable visitors to access radio tours while they view the artefacts. a prototype is expected to be developed within three months by a single developer. identify 5 risks in this project and identify what category of risk it may likely be
1. Mobile app Platforms - With two major mobile app platforms, iOS and Android, the demand for cross-platform and hybrid app development are increasing. Thus, to be a successful developer, he must know both app development. For example, native apps work on a particular operating system, hybrid on both Android & iOS and web-based on computers. He may have to satisfy three different kinds of audiences: iOS users, Android users, and Internet users.
2. Data Related Security Risks - The app is considered to have the worst security like collecting data which includes locations, images, personal information, hobbies, messages, and more. Finding out a reliable company which can assure your data safety is really difficult . Generally, app developers collect data and share them with the third parties, which accidentally causes data leaks at a huge level. Therefore, developing and delivering a secure mobile application is essential.
3. Interactive Features - Many mobile app developers have the mentality to develop feature-rich applications. But, adding many features in a single app can make the app clumsy and confusing. Adding too many features slows down the load speed of the app and makes it heavy. Since it is for radio tours, there should be interactive facilities to pause and begin from a prticular point he likes.
4. Scalability - Scalability is a big issue when it comes to app development. Many add-ons may come in future which should not affect the existing design and could be easily integrated into the app.
5. Robust Post Launch Execution - Launch is just the beginning of any app. Increase usability through testing or user feedback. Options include surveys, user prompts, app store reviews (when available), and even incentivized feedback. This will help to learn about the customer experiences or the hurdles or gaps in the app.
