List and Describe the four coverages of Auto Insurance
The four coverages of auto insurance are:
Part A - liability coverage
Part B - Medical payments coverage
Part C - Uninsured motorists coverage
Part D - Coverage for damage to your auto
Part A liability coverage - This provides coverage against a lawsuit or claim which arises out of the ownership or operation of a vehicle covered under the insurance policy.
Part B medical payments coverage - Under this, the insurance company pays all medical/funeral expenses for the insured withing three years from the accident date. This coverage is not based on fault so if the insured is at fault even then medical expenses for the insured and other injured passengers can be paid.
Part C uninsured motorists coverage - This coverage pays for bodily injury (and in a few states, property damage) which is caused by an uninsured motorist or by a hit-and-run driver.
Part D coverage for damage to your auto - This provides coverage in case there is damage to the vehicle or the vehicle is stolen.
