Consider the six theoretical orientations you were briefly introduced to in the Unit 1 video. Which one most appeals to you and why? Use that theoretical orientation to help explain some experience in your life.
The six theoretical orientations are: 1-Biological 2- Behavioural 3- Psychodynamic 4-Cognitive 5-Humanistic 6-Sociocultural

Out of the six perspectives in psychology, Humanistic approach appeals the most to me.Because this view deals in human potential, self actualization, human experiences for holistic development.Abraham Maslow is one of the known theorists for developing the hierarchy of needs for humans that included that fulfillment of one step (in the hierarchy table) leads to the second one.The steps started with physiological needs, safety needs, belongingness, esteem needs and self actualization needs.
An experience from my life that was difficult and I implemented this approach towards it.In my family I felt love and belongingness with my father, as my mother died when I was 5 years old.3 years back he was diagnosed with terminal illness and he could not survive. He passed away last year.I was shattered and broken.I realized that I started having self esteem issues in my school and family.Earlier I meant the importance of self actualization, but it was gone too. This was a difficult phase in my life.
In Maslow's hierarchy, if love ane belongingness is not realized than one cannot reach to other steps.
Good Luck!
