Change is inevitable under the dynamic business environment. In the business, the strategy keeps on evolving based on the market condition and the companies take the advantage of their resources to build the strategy which matches their organization's structure and then further take it to operationalize the business. Without change, it would be very difficult for organizations to survive. Change is a necessary element to keep the business sustainable and the organization should decide on the type of change and the change management program according to the industry and the internal capabilities to manage the change process.
There are defined steps to impart the change in the organizations. Following are the steps involved in bringing the change in the organization:
a. Assessment of the current situation
b. what is the objective of the change and why the change is necessary
c? Communicate the change process to all the stakeholders of the organization
d. Make the change process participative and remove the resistance and concerns before the change management journey begins. Buyin from all the stakeholders is necessary
e. Execute the change management program
f. Communicate the results to the stakeholders that have been achieved through the execution of the change management process
g. Make the change sustainable and remain there by making regular and frequent communciation with all the stakeholders about the positive impact of the change.
For most of the organiztion the change in behaviour is biggest challenge. Technological changes or organiztional changes can be directly imposed but the behaviorual changes are the most difficult but important to do. Since the human resource are the most valuable resource of the organization and behavioural cahges invove the human resource therefore this is the most important and good change for the orgnaization. Behavioural changes makes the organzition more competitive and brings in better sustainablility.
